The COMPLETE warm-up with THINQ Golf

How many of you out there have a solid warm up routine that gets you ready to play every time you go out?

 

Maybe you do and maybe you don’t, but I’m guessing that even if you do, you’re still falling short of being fully prepared for the round.

 

Most of us warm up with a couple stretches before a few shots with each of our favorite clubs; usually ending with the driver in a desperate attempt to get a good feeling to take to the first tee. That seems like a harmless scenario…but, does it even come close to accomplishing the goal of a warm up? No. It’s not even close. Truth is…hardly anyone comes close.

To illustrate that, let’s start at the top and work backwards. Take tour players as an example; their typical pre-round routine lasts about 2 hours and includes a session in the mobile tour gym and personalized stretching session before the head to the range. Then it’s some combination of the full swing, short game, and putting before heading to the first tee.

A routine like this sounds like it couldn’t possibly be missing anything right? Wrong. It still leaves out the most important part of your body that needs a proper warm up. YOUR MIND

How many times have you heard it before? Golf is 90 percent mental and 10 percent physical. So why is your only warm up routine for your mind a 12oz cup of coffee? Think about it…your mind is the functioning tool that operates every part of your body.

It is the computer that drives your body’s motion. Would you get on a plane if you saw the pilot stumble up into the cockpit looking tired and worn out. I bet you wouldn’t even if the plane was fresh off of the assembly line. Stop allowing your golf game to be piloted by a groggy mind.
